RANDOLPH COUNTY DEMOCRATIC EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE: will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at 5:30 p.m. at the Kump Education Center on Randolph Avenue in Elkins. Topics up for discussion will be registering to run for office and keeping West Virginia vaccine laws strong. Resources for getting involved with the organization will be provided. ELKINS-RANDOLPH COUNTY REGIONAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY: will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday Jan. 13, 2026 at 5 p.m. at the airport terminal building.

WEDNESDAY PICKIN’: The Augusta Heritage Center’s weekly acoustic music jam sessions are now taking place at Armadillo Flats at C.J. Maggie’s Restaurant on Davis Avenue in Elkins throughout the winter months. The country music jam sessions will be from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., while the old-time music jam sessions will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. All levels and instruments are welcome as well as singers and listeners. DOCENTS FOR LOG CABIN QUILTERS GUILD EXHIBIT: at The Arts Center on Jan. 15 and 16, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., to chat with Log Cabin Quilters Guild Members about their exhibition on display. Some members will be working on their works-in-progress, and all are eager to share their vast knowledge about quiltmaking. Event is free.

BUCKWHEAT AND PANCAKE BREAKFAST: Randolph Lodge IOOF will host a sourdough buckwheat breakfast at the Lodge Hall on the Beverly Five-lane on Saturday, Jan. 17 from 7 a.m. until noon. The all-you-can-eat menu will include sourdough buckwheat cakes, regular pancakes, sausage, bisquits and gravy, eggs, milk, coffee or orange juice. Carry-outs will be available.

OLD TIME MUSIC: Join in the first and third Mondays, 7-9 p.m. at The Arts Center in Elkins for an Old Time Music Session. Beginning musicians are encouraged to join in. Fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo, dulcimer, bass are welcome. Participants enter through the back door. Contact dp-foot@hotmail.com.

NEW EXHIBITIONS OPENING RECEPTION: at The Arts Center on  Jan. 29 from  5 to 7 p.m. in the Great Hall and the Maxwell Gallery. In the Great Hall, the D&E Student Exhibition will be on display with never-before-seen works. In the Maxwell Gallery, A Life of Art & Craft, a solo exhibition by Judy Van Gundy, will be on display. There will be an Olivia + Clara concert afterward, from 7:30-8:30 p.m..There is an admission cost for the concert.

TOPS 0590 MILL CREEK: meets at the Russell Memorial Library in Mill Creek every Wednesday. Weigh-in is from 10:30-10:45 a.m. Meeting following weigh in. For information call 304-338-6403.
