“We’re extremely pleased to be reaccredited by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education,” says Division of Business & Entrepreneurship Chair, Susan Aloi. “This represents an external validation of the commitment and daily hard work of D&E’s faculty, staff, and administration. Yet, the true value of accreditation comes from our engagement in the continuous improvement of our programs and the outcomes of our students. The most important results are our graduates who achieve career success, make important contributions to their communities, and live fulfilled lives.”
The IACBE is the leader in mission-driven and outcomes-based programmatic accreditation in business and business-related education for colleges, universities, and other higher education institutions whose primary purpose is excellence in teaching and learning.
“With its recent reaffirmation of accreditation from the IACBE, the Business & Entrepreneurship Division at Davis & Elkins College has again shown why it is so successful in helping students succeed,” says Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Mike Mattison. “The faculty in the division, as IACBE noted, are committed to continually improving the educational experience for students, whether in the classroom or in a real-world internship. Congratulations to the chair, Dr. Susan Aloi, as well as all the faculty members: Professor Melanie Campbell, Dr. Carol Carter, Dr. Mark Douglas, Dr. Alex Sivvopolous, and Professor Lisa Smith. All of them deserve recognition for their work, and we are grateful for all they contribute to D&E.”
