ELKINS — Mike Ross and the Ross Family Foundation have made a $5,000 gift to support the Interact Children’s Museum. Ross joins more than 40 other Elkins area donors in supporting the museum and becoming a Founding 150 Business. Ross presented his gift to ICM Vice President Sydney West.

On receiving the gift, West said, “The Interact Children’s Museum is extremely grateful to Mike Ross as well as the many other businesses and individuals that are showing their support and care for our mission of serving area children. These gifts will ensure that our new downtown space will thrive once we are ready to open.”

The Interact Children’s Museum’s Founding 150 Campaign invites families and businesses to provide lead gifts to develop its first brick and mortar location at the corner of Davis Avenue and Third Street.

With high visibility from the Railyard and other key destinations in downtown Elkins, the museum will provide creative learning opportunities to children of all ages. The campaign seeks gifts of $1,000 to $10,000 to provide a foundation for the new museum. These donors will be recognized on a permanent display inside the museum. New equipment, furniture, floor cushioning as well as play areas will be installed. In addition, the campaign will also fund initial operating expenses to ensure long-term success.

The building is currently undergoing upgrades by its owners, Seneca Mall, LLC, to include new electrical, HVAC, accessible restrooms, and other improvements for a bright and welcoming space for the community. Amber Kwasniewski of the Mills Group is leading the design project.

Starting at $3.92/week.
