MILL CREEK – The Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce was proud to celebrate the grand re-opening of EATS! LLC with a ribbon cutting ceremony at its new location in Mill Creek.
For many years, owner Victor Taylor dreamed of opening a family-style restaurant to serve southern Randolph County. In May 2024, that dream became a reality when EATS! opened in the former C&J’s Restaurant location along U.S. Route 219 in Valley Bend. The restaurant quickly became known for its family-style comfort food and welcoming atmosphere.
In February 2025, a tragedy struck when a devastating fire destroyed the restaurant. What had become a beloved gathering place for local residents was suddenly gone.
Rather than giving up, Taylor and his team remained determined to rebuild. In late summer 2025, an opportunity arose to relocate into the former Dinner Bell restaurant building in Mill Creek. With the advantage of an existing commercial kitchen and the support of others who believed in the business, plans were set in motion to bring EATS! back to life.
Today, EATS! has officially risen from the ashes and reopened as a full-service family-style restaurant, continuing Taylor’s vision of providing quality food, excellent service, and a welcoming place for families and friends to gather.
“Victor’s story is one of perseverance, determination, and resilience,” Executive Director of the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce Karrah Washington said. “When faced with a devastating loss, he chose to rebuild and continue serving the community he loves. We are thrilled to celebrate this new chapter for EATS! and look forward to seeing the restaurant continue to thrive.”
