Philippi Museum seeking volunteers for clean up

The Barbour County Historical Museum is hosting a clean-up day Saturday, June 6, starting at 9 a.m. and is looking for volunteers to help with this project.
“We will be washing windows, mopping floors, and doing general dusting throughout the Museum’s rooms,”Caleb Nolan, AFNHA AmeriCorps member working with the Museum, said.
The Philippi-based Museum strives to provide the community and visitors from throughout the world (yes, the Museum has international visitors) with a great experience in historical preservation and local culture. Keeping the Museum clean and well maintained is one way to ensure this positive experience.
The BC Historical Museum holds a wide range of artifacts which complement Barbour County’s rich past.The Museum’s volunteers want to continue providing visitors with some of the greatest moments of this rich past, from Civil War exhibits to the exhibits of the World Wars, and of course, the famous Philippi Mummies.
