Foundation announces ‘Heartbeat Matters’ campaign

St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation recently announced their 2019-2020 fundraising campaign at a reception held in Salvati Hall at St. Joseph's Hospital. 'Every Heartbeat Matters' will support Cardiology Services and Cardiac Rehabilitation at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the state of West Virginia, with the state having the highest rate of heart disease in the nation at 14.6%.

Funds raised from the campaign will be used to provide the hospital with a Transesophageal Ultrasound Probe which allows physicians to see the back of the heart; a GE Bike Stress Echo Tilt Table to provide patients with restricted mobility an easier stress testing; and Cardiac Rehabilitation Equipment for the hospital's Cardiac Rehabilitation Suite. St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation is a non-profit 501 C 3 organization making donations tax-deductible.
