The auxiliary to Elkins Rehabilitation & Care Center recently met for its Christmas luncheon at the center.

Tara Shaver, administrator of ERCC, had suggested equipment that the auxiliary could purchase that would be of help in patient care. The auxiliary voted to purchase a Wound Vac at $8,000 for the nursing department and a gas range for $9,300. Proceeds from the auxiliary’s Gift Shop funded these purchases. Members also wrapped Christmas gifts form the 110 residents and enjoyed a cookie and ornament exchange.

Vice President Judy Guye announced there would be a Valentine Gift Shop, pulled pork lunch and a bazaar sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 14 at the center. Members are asked to donate gently used jewelry, scarves and Valentine baked goods.
