JIMTOWN -- Emergency personnel responded to a call regarding a structure fire with an explosion on Jimtown Road at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Monday.
According to information from the Coalton Fire Department, the entity investigating the incident, firemen observed a single-story structure fully engulfed in flame upon arrival.
After extinguishing the blaze, officials observed the residence to be "more or less a total loss," an officials said Monday morning. No residents were home at the time of the fire.
The CFD was assisted by the Elkins, Junior and Belington Fire Departments and EMS.
