ELKINS -- A total of 29 individuals were arraigned in Randolph County Circuit Court this week, after being indicted by a Randolph grand jury on June 29.
∫ Damien Austin Moore, 21, of French Creek, pleaded not guilty to one count of robbery in the first degree, one count of conspiracy, one count of use or presentation of a firearm during commission of a felony, and one count of burglary, all felony charges.
Jury selection was set for Oct. 6. A trial was slated for Oct. 15-16 and a pre-trial conference was set for Sept. 28. During the arraignment Randolph County Prosecuting Attorney Michael Parker informed the court that Moore needed to go to the Elkins Police Department for charges contained in the indictment.
∫ Angela Dawn Shiflett, 39, of Mill Creek, pleaded not guilty to one count of parent, guardian, or custodian allowing sexual abuse, a felony, and one count of child neglect creating risk of serious bodily injury or death, a felony. Jury selection was set for Oct. 6, a trial date for Oct. 15-16 and a pre-trial conference for Sept. 28
During the arraignment, bond was set by Randolph County Circuit Judge David Wilmoth at $25,000 personal recognizance bond. Shiflett was ordered to the Randolph County Sheriff's Officer for additional processing.
∫ George Bennett Meek II, 62, of Elkins, pleaded not guilty to four counts of delivery of a controlled substance, a felony, and three counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony.
Jury selection was set for Sept. 8, a trial date is slated for Sept. 17 and a pre-trail conference is set for Aug. 24. Meek was told to return to the Elkins Police Department for further processing.
∫ Devin William McCauley, 31, of Elkins, did not appear for his arraignment. He was indicted on one count of driving while license revoked for DUI, third offense, a felony; one count of failure to appear, a felony; one count of improper registration, a misdemeanor;p and one count of no proof of insurance, a misdemeanor. Wilmoth issued a capias for McCauley for failing to appear.
∫ Haley Brooke Fincham, 27, of Mill Creek, pleaded not guilty to one count of shoplifting, third offense, a felony. Jury selection was set for Aug. 10, the trail for Aug. 20 and a pre-trial conference for Aug. 3.
∫ Karla Renee Huffman, 30, of Elkins, pleaded not guilty to three counts of delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, a felony, and one count of knowingly, keeping or maintaining a dwelling, building or other structure or place for the purpose of using or selling controlled substances, a misdemeanor. Jury selection is set for Oct. 6, the trial for Oct. 15 and a pre-trial conference for Sept. 28.
∫ An arraignment for Levi Shrader was postponed due to his attorney being on vacation. Shrader, 35, of Huttonsville, was indicted on two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony, and one count of possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
∫ Luther Mark Ford, 45, of Beverly, pleaded not guilty to three counts of failure to register as a sexual offender or provide notice of registration changes, a felony. Jury selection was set for Sept. 8, the trail for Sept. 30 and a pre-trail conference for Aug. 3.
∫ Samantha Lynn Nelson, 32, of Monterville, pleaded not guilty to one count of shoplifting, third offense, a felony, one count of conspiracy, a felony, and one count of trespass in structure or conveyance, a misdemeanor. A trail date was set for Aug. 20 with jury selection planned for Aug. 10 and a pre-trial conference for Aug. 3. Nelson has to report to the Randolph County Sheriff's Office for additional processing.
∫ Zachary Buck Mallow, 29, of Beverly, was indicted on one count of strangulation, a felony, and one count of domestic battery, a misdemeanor. A trial date was set for Sept. 17, with jury selection planned for Sept. 8 and a pre-trial conference for Aug. 24. Mallow has to report to the West Virginia State Police for additional processing.
∫ Paul Allen Jennings, 37, of Parsons, pleaded not guilty to one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, second offense, a felony, and one count of possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Jury selection is set for Sept. 8, the trial for Sept. 17 and a pre-trial conference for Aug. 24.
∫ A capias was issued for Trasonda Noel for a previous failure to appear. Noel, 35, of Norton, was indicted on one count of transportation of controlled substances onto the grounds of a correctional facility, a felony, and one count of possession of a controlled substance by an inmate, a felony.
∫ Paul Jason Armstong, 38, of Ellamore, pleaded not guilty to one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, second offense, a felony. Jury selection is set for Aug. 10, the trial for Aug. 30 and a pre-trail conference for Aug. 3.
∫ Maranda Ann Pickett, 36, of Clarksburg, pleaded not guilty to one count of transportation of controlled substances onto the grounds of a correctional facility, a felony, one count of attempted delivery of contraband to an inmate, a felony, and one count of conspiracy, a felony. Jury selection is set for Sept. 8, the trail for Sept. 17 and a pre-trial conference for Aug. 24. Pickett was ordered to the WVSP for additional processing.
∫ Tajia Jean Watson, 30, an inmate at Tygart Valley Regional Jail, pleaded not guilty to one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, second or subsequent offense, a felony. Jury selection is set for Sept. 8, the trail for Sept. 30 and a pre-trial conference for Aug. 24.
∫ David Wayne Crites, 52, an inmate at Tygart Valley Regional Jail, was indicted on one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, second or subsequent offense, a felony. Crites attorney, Jerry Blair, was not present during the arraignment.
"I've been here (TVRJ) for seven months and I have not heard from him," Crites told the court. Wilmoth responded that he would look into the matter and set the arraignment at a later date.
∫ Randy Kim Kinzy Jr., 38, an inmate at Tygart Valley Regional Jail, pleaded not guilty to two counts of possession of material depicting a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct, a felony. Jury selection is planned for Oct. 6, the trial is set for Oct. 15 and a pre-trial conference will be Sept. 28.
∫ Dylan Matthew Rexrode, 26, an inmate at Tygart Valley Regional Jail, pleaded not guilty to two counts of sexual assault in the first degree, a felony; two counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian, or person in a position of trust to a child, a felony; two counts of incest, a felony, one count of child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury, a felony; one count of malicious assault, a felony; three counts of child abuse creating risk of death or serious bodily injury, a felony; and one count of sexual assault in the third degree, a felony. Jury selection is scheduled for Oct. 6, the trial for Oct. 15-16 and a pre-trial conference for Sept. 28.
∫ Joshua Ryan Noel, 37, an inmate at Tygart Valley Regional Jail, pleaded not guilty two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, second offense, a felony; one count of conspiracy, a felony; one count of knowingly, keeping or maintaining a dwelling, building, or other structure or place for the purpose of using or selling controlled substances, a misdemeanor; one count of possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; and one count of possession by prohibited person of a firearm, a misdemeanor. Jury selection is set for Oct. 6, the trial for Oct. 16 and a pre-trial conference Sept. 28.

Jury selection is planned for Oct. 6, the trial for Oct. 15-16 and a pre-trial conference for Sept. 28.
∫ Alan Ray Taylor, 32, of Mill Creek, pleaded not guilty one count of breaking and entering, a felony; one count of grand larceny, a felony; and one count of destruction of property, a misdemeanor. Jury selection is set for Sept. 8, the trial for Sept. 30 and a pre-trial conference on Aug. 24.

∫ Justin Allen Anderson, 26, of Elkins, currently lodged in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail, pleaded not guilty to four counts of sexual assault in the first degree, four counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian, or person in a position of trust to a child, and one count of distribution and display to minor of obscene matter, all felony charges. Jury selection is slated for Oct. 6, the trial for Oct. 8-9 and a pre-trial conference for Sept. 28.
∫ Justin Pete Short, 37, an inmate at Western Regional Jail, pleaded not guilty to three counts of failure to register as a sexual offender or provide notice of registration changes, second or subsequent offense, a felony. Jury selection is set for Sept. 8, the trial for Sept. 30 and a pre-trial conference for Aug. 24.
During the arraignment, Wilmoth modified the $50,000 cash only bond set by Randolph County Magistrate Court to a $15,000 cash, surety or 10 percent bond. Jury selection is set for Sept. 8, the trial for Sept. 30 and a pre-trial conference for Aug. 24.
∫ Paige Marie Smith, 22, an inmate at South Central Regional Jail, pleaded not guilty to one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony, and one count of possession by prohibited person of a firearm, a misdemeanor. Jury selection is set for Sept. 8, a trial for Sept. 30 and a pre-trial conference for Aug. 24.
∫ Earl Jerrod Click, 33, an inmate at Mount Olive Correctional Complex and Jail, pleaded not guilty to one count of murder, a felony, and one count of offense committed by an inmate resulting in death, a felony. Jury selection is set for Oct. 6, the trial for Oct. 16 and a pre-trial conference for Sept. 28.
∫ Mohamed Loutfi, 43, an inmate at Tygart Valley Regional Jail, pleaded not guilty to one count of sexual assault in the second degree, one count of attempted sexual assault in the second degree, and one count of sexual abuse in the first degree, all felony charges.
