Whitesell & Whitesell are celebrating 37 years of service, having gone into business in 1983. They are currently located at 101 Foxmoor Road in Belington about half-way between Belington and Philippi. Most of their clients, they say, have been helped by the firm for more than 30 years. Fox’s Pizza, at the corner of U. S. 250 and the Blue & Gray Expressway in downtown Philippi, is owned by entrepreneur Kevin Lyons and managed, for more than 20 years, by Tim McLean. Limited to drive-through and pick-up only because of the pandemic, Fox’s offers much more than pizza, including stromolis, oven-baked hoagies, salads, wings, wedgies, beverages and desserts.

Online, the food service is available @foxspizza.com, or by telephone at 304-457-5000. The restaurant is located at the intersection of U.S. 250 and the Philippi bypass directly opposite the Philippi fire house, or can be contacted by mail by mail at P.O. Box 307, Philippi, WV 26416. Fox features monthly specials which began during the first week of April of this year. Mailers are sent to households every three months detailing special discounts, Lyons says, while other offers are available on Facebook at Fox’s Pizza Den Philippi.

Fox’s has 10 employees and is open Mondays through Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and stays open until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The restaurant opens again at noon on Sunday and closes at 9 p.m.. They pledge they never use deep fryers in any of their preparations. Owner Kevin Lyons is a member of the Board of Directors of BC Bank and belongs to the Philippi United Methodist Church. He was born and raised in Barbour County and is a graduate of Alderson Broaddus College.
