WVU Extension Service releases garden calendar
Given the overwhelming renewed interest in gardening this past year, West Virginia University Extension Service is helping both novice and seasoned gardeners gain tips, educational information and more via the 2021 garden calendar.
The calendar, themed “The Science of Gardening,” looks at the science-based information behind gardening, including how seeds germinate, the importance of earthworms in your soil, how plants use nutrients, the role of pollination, and more.
To obtain a copy of the calendar, while supplies last, or learn more about gardening and healthy lifestyles, contact the WVU Extension Service office in your county – Barbour County at 304-457-3254; Randolph County at 304-636-2455; Tucker County at 304-478-2949; and Upshur County at 304-473-4208.
Copies of the 2021 calendar also are available at Southern States in Elkins, Parsons, and Philippi, the Garden Market in Philippi, and Liggett’s Supply in Mill Creek.
