One-vehicle wreck leads to charge

VALLEY HEAD -- A one-vehicle accident led to a DUI charge for a local resident.

The Randolph County Sheriff's Office responded to a call at approximately 9 p.m. on Friday, a Monday press release states. Officers found that a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 truck driven by Robert Edmond II left the roadway and rolled over onto its top on Rt. 15 on Point Mountain just outside of Valley Head.

Deputy B.M. Roy arrested Edmond on the charge of driving under the influence of alcohol and transported him to Davis Medical Center, where he was treated for minor injuries. After treatment he was transported to Tygart Valley Regional Jail to await arraignment, the release states. No further information was available at presstime.
