ELKINS -- Cash-only $100,000 bonds were set Tuesday for each of the three individuals arrested Monday in connection to the largest methamphetamine seizure in Elkins Police Department history.
Eric Lynn Armstrong, 38, Roger Lee Ware, 43, and Krystal Ann Dellagatta, 30, were all transported to Tygart Valley Regional Jail after police seized 1.7 pounds of methamphetamine and three firearms during Monday's investigation.
On Tuesday, each of the three was charged with possession with intent to deliver and conspiracy, both felonies. Their bonds were set by Randolph County Magistrate Tracy Harper.
Police detained Armstrong and Ware Monday morning, finding drugs, guns, bullets, digital scales and baggies on their person and in their backpacks, the criminal complaint states. As police were speaking with Armstrong, Ware allegedly attempted to escape on his bicycle, tossing away a backpack that was recovered by officers.
The Elkins Police Department then executed a search warrant at a residence in Heavner Acres which Armstrong and Dellagatta allegedly share, according to the complaint. When Patrolman D.T. Sayre and Patrolman N.G. Elbon, along with assisting officers Corporal B.D. Tice, Patrolman R.S. Goux and Patrolman J.L. Rutter, explained to Dellagatta why they were at the residence, she allegedly said, "Eric turned me in, didn't he?"
The criminal complaint states that after police detained Dellagatta and began to search the residence, she told officers, "You don't have to look for it, it's under the bed, one small safe, and two big safes. The keys are on a giant key ring."
Inside the safes officers discovered drugs, guns, bullets, digital scales, baggies and cell phones, according to the police report. Once officers completed the search, Dellagatta allegedly stated, "Well, here's my 25 to life. I should've knew better than to be with another worthless man."
The street value of the methamphetamine seized is approximately $85,000, according to police.
