ELKINS — A boil-water advisory is still in effect for the 1600 block of Taylor Avenue and the 16-1700 blocks of Ward Avenue in South Elkins.

Officials cannot lift the advisory until the receive results from independent lab testing. The lab is now projecting that all needed tests will be complete and results in hand by midday Friday, a City of Elkins press release stated Wednesday.

Please continue to use boiled or bottled water for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.
