CHARLESTON -- Three more COVID-related deaths among local residents were announced by the state Wednesday.
The deaths of an 89-year old male from Randolph County, a 95-year old female from Upshur County and a 66-year old female from Pocahontas County were confirmed by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources Monday.
Nineteen new COVID-related deaths in the state were announced Wednesday, along with 1,102 new cases of COVID-19, according to data from the DHHR.
The state has so far seen 181,906 total cases and 3,036 deaths.
The DHHR stated Wednesday that 61.8 percent of the state's eligible population has received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and nearly 50.5 percent are fully vaccinated.
