BUCKHANNON -- An Upshur County grand jury handed down 25 indictments Monday involving 23 individuals on charges including kidnapping and solicitation of murder.
Jaymie Wright was indicted on three felony counts of attempt to kill or injure by poison, and one felony count of solicitation of murder.
Wright's indictment was presented by Special Prosecuting Attorney Savannah Hull Wilkins.
The other indictments were presented by Prosecuting Attorney Bryan S. Hinkle.
William Earl Parker, 53, of Cheat Lake, was indicted for kidnapping, a felony.
Christie Coy McClure, Jr., 58 of Helvetia, was indicted for driving a motor vehicle while in an impaired state and causing the death of a person, a felony; and driving under the influence of alcohol .15 or higher, a misdemeanor.
McClure, Jr. is accused of driving a truck into a tree in Tallmansville in August 2021. His father was killed in the wreck.
Dylan Paul Mitchell, 22, of Buckhannon, was indicted on a felony count of gross child neglect creating substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury.
Kurtis Carson, 20 of Weston, was indicted on two felony counts of cruelty to animals.
Kiara Casto, 22, of Buckhannon, was indicted on felony charges of conspiracy to commit a felony and gross child neglect creating substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury.
Thomas James Miller, 32, of French Creek, was indicted on two counts of driving while license revoked for DUI, third or subsequent offense; two counts of fleeing in a vehicle with reckless indifference to the safety of others, all felonies; and one count of fleeing by means other than the use of a vehicle, a misdemeanor.
Daniel Alderman, 37 of French Creek, was indicted for driving while license revoked for DUI, third or subsequent offense; fleeing in a vehicle with reckless indifference to the safety of others; no insurance; and having improper evidence of registration, and a false motor vehicle inspection sticker.
Brianna Wardrope, 26 of Buckhannon, was indicted on two counts of forgery and two counts of uttering, all felonies.
Christopher Linville, 28 of Huntington, was indicted for grand larceny, possession of a stolen vehicle, attempted identity theft, and fleeing in a vehicle with reckless indifference to the safety of others, all felonies; and fleeing by means other than the use of a vehicle and destruction of property, both misdemeanors.
Harley King, 43, of Buckhannon, was named in two separate indictments, each one consisting of one felony count of driving while license revoked for DUI, third or subsequent offense; and misdemeanor counts of having no insurance and improper use of evidence of registration.
Tony Metzler, 37, of Buckhannon, was indicted for being a prohibited person in possession of a concealed firearm, a felony; and for being a prohibited person in possession of a concealed firearm and driving while license revoked for DUI, second offense, both misdemeanors.
Danolvis Nunez of Suffolk, New York, was indicted on felony counts of grand larceny and conspiracy.
Eric Chidester, 39, of Crawford, was indicted for being a prohibited person in possession of a concealed firearm, a felony; and possession of a stolen vehicle, a misdemeanor.
Mark Wilfong, 34, of Buckhannon, was indicted on a felony charge of attempted grand larceny, and misdemeanor charges of tampering with a vehicle and petit larceny.
Ernie Wayne Crawford, 26, of French Creek, was indicted on felony counts of delivery of a controlled narcotic substance, fentanyl; conspiracy to commit a felony violation of Chapter 61A, Article 401 of the WV State Code; gross child neglect creating a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury; and conspiracy.
Jeremy Allan McCartney, 28, of Crawford, was indicted on one felony count of driving while license revoked for DUI, third or subsequent offense.
Silmer Nathan White, 28, of Montrose, was indicted on two felony counts of uttering.
Kaylee M. Malcolm, 24, of Montrose, was indicted for one felony count of uttering.
William Patrick O'Neil, 51, of Spencer, was indicted on one felony count of uttering.
Charles Pancake, 73, of Buckhannon, was indicted on two felony counts of failure to provide notice of a change in sex offender registration information, life registrant.
Aaron Glasser, 37, of Buckhannon, was indicted on 10 felony counts of failure to report changes to child abuse and neglect registry, second or subsequent offense.
Johnathan Roy Peyatt, 36, of French Creek, was indicted on one felony count of failure to register as a sex offender.
An indictment is merely an accusation. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
