ELKINS -- The Tygart Valley United Way elected a new president, officers and board of directors members during a virtual meeting Tuesday.
Christine Miller of Taylor County Schools will serve as president for 2022-2023, while Christina Gouzd of Keystone Realty will serve as Vice President, Rebecca Miller of ND Paper will serve as Secretary, and Jennifer Wade of Conley CPA will serve as Treasurer.
Outgoing President Dani DeVito was recognized during the meeting for serving two years in the position during the global COVID-19 pandemic.
"United Way's board of directors is filled with dedicated individuals who are passionate about helping our community," Brett White, Chief Executive Officer of the Tygart Valley United Way, said during Tuesday's meeting.
"In particular, United Way has benefited from the tremendous leadership of our retiring board members. They have given countless hours to help United Way continuously improve and grow. On behalf of the board of directors, staff, and volunteers, I want to give a heartfelt thank you to all of them!"
The new board of directors members elected Tuesday included Jennifer Wade of Conley CPA, Donna Hage of Marion County Schools, Jim Myers of Mon Power, Robert Bolton of Robert Bolton Law Office, Mike Bell of Davis Health System, Aaron Yanuzo of WVU Medicine, Lisa Wood of Randolph County Chamber of Commerce, Kelly Stadelman of Stadelman Consulting, and Tiffany Mitchell of Freedom Bank.
Retiring board members honored for their service Tuesday included Mike Lawson, Kristen DeVault, Michael White, Sally Morgan, Mike Haines, Devanna Corley, Michael Angelucci and Blaire Nuzum-Wise.

Campaign Co-Chairs Rosemary Thomas and Blaire-Nuzum wise presented the annual Campaign Awards to individuals and companies that went above and beyond to make the campaign successful.
Since 2021, Tygart Valley United Way has been a five-county regional United Way serving Marion, Randolph, Taylor, Barbour and Tucker counties.
Each year the United Way sets a campaign goal and every dollar taken in from that amount goes to nonprofits in Randolph, Tucker, Barbour, Marion and Taylor counties.
The focus areas for the United Way funding programs are in the areas of education, health and financial stability.
Organizations in Randolph County that the United Way has partnered with in the past include the Children's Advocacy Center, Randolph County Family Resources, North Central West Virginia Community Action, Meals on Wheels, Humane Society and Catholic Charities.
