A FedEx delivery truck overtuned in Gilman earlier this week.
GILMAN -- A FedEx driver was "shaken up" when his delivery truck overturned this week, police said.
Randolph County Sheriff Rob Elbon wrote in a press release that he was called to the scene of an accident with entrapment on old Route 219 North in Gilman at about 9:15 a.m. on Monday. The Leading Creek Fire Department and Randolph County EMS were on scene when Elbon arrived.
Elbon spoke with Wesley White of Elkins, the driver of the FedEx truck, who said he drove up a private drive to drop off a package. On his way back down the driveway "the right front tire dropped off the edge of the embankment which caused the truck to roll over on its top," the release states.
White was "shaken up and reported he had a minor injury to his hand" but refused treatment by EMS units, Elbon wrote, adding that White was not entrapped and did not have to be extricated.
Bob's Automotive and Dawsons Towing "worked together to roll the truck over and tow it from the scene," the release states.
