PHILIPPI -- A total of 21 people were named in indictments handed down by a Barbour County Grand Jury Monday.
Those indicted Monday included:
Casey D. Browning, 39, of Bud, was indicted on two counts of entry of a building other than a dwelling; one count of acquiring or obtaining possession of a controlled substance by misrepresentation, fraud, forgery, theft, deception or subterfuge; one count of grand larceny; and one count of destruction of property.
Garrett J. Summerfield, 31, of Belington, was indicted on one count of second degree arson.
Sarah J. Lambert, 29, of Junior, was indicted on one count of entry of a building other than a dwelling; and one count of second degree arson.
Levi L. Miner, 34, of Philippi, was indicted on one count of entry of a building other than a dwelling.
Joshua W. Smith, 32, of Philippi, was indicted on one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver; one count of fleeing on foot; and one count of domestic battery.
Michael D. Estep, 55, of Volga, was indicted on one count of false evidences, forgery, etc. of vehicle registration; one count of driving while license revoked; and one count of no insurance.
Bon M. Haymond, 25, of Belington, was indicted on one count of malicious assault; and one count of domestic battery.
Logan M. Craig, 18, of Philippi, was indicted on one count of grand larceny; and one count of conspiracy.
Michael S. Wegman, 19, of Belington, was indicted on one count of grand larceny; and one count of conspiracy.
Stephen R. Knotts, 51, of Philippi, was indicted on two counts of conspiracy and one count of petit larceny.
Chad J. Gerkin, 50, of Grafton, was indicted on one count of fraud by access device; two counts of conspiracy; and one count of petit larceny.
Ashley N. Sansone, 36, of Morgantown, was indicted on one count of shoplifting – third or subsequent offense.
Jason J. Pitzer, 38, of Thornton, was indicted on two counts of child neglect creating risk of injury; and one count of driving under the influence.
Michael P. Charles, 40, of Belington, was indicted on three counts of wanton endangerment involving a firearm; two counts of domestic battery; one count of obstructing an officer; one count of battery on a law enforcement officer; and one count of assault on a law enforcement officer.
Shawn D. Johnston, 48, of Belington, was indicted on one count of failure to register or provide notice of a change in sex offender registry information, second or subsequent pffense (life registrant).
Michael D. Jones II, 30, of Belington, was indicted on two counts: failure to register or provide notice of a change in sex offender registry information (life registrant).
Terry L. Reed, 62, of Philippi, was indicted on two counts of manufacture of a controlled substance; and one count of conspiracy.
Billy J. Bennett, 44, of Belington, was indicted on one count of failure to appear.
Telecia R. Evix, 41, of Philippi, was indicted on one count of failure to appear.
Jonathan W. Alexander, 30, of Moatsville, was indicted on one count of escape.
Charles A. Shaver, 41, of Philippi, was indicted on Three Counts: Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver one count: False Certificates.
Presentments to the Grand Jury Monday were made by Prosecuting Attorney Thomas B. Hoxie and special Prosecuting Attorney Brian Hinkle. The Grand Jury was presided over by Circuit Judge Shawn D. Nines.
Arraignments will be Nov. 7, beginning at 9 a.m. in the Barbour County Courthouse Courtroom.
All defendants are presumed innocent until and unless they are proven guilty.
