Upshur Grand Jury hands down indictments

BUCKHANNON -- A grand jury sitting in Upshur County returned 32 indictments against individuals on Monday.

Those indicted include:

• Charles Ray Smith, 68, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one felony count of use of obscene matter with the intent to seduce a minor.

• Patricia Ann Mendel, 28, of French Creek, is facing to counts of felony first degree arson.

• Nathanael James Cragle, 28, of Volga, was indicted one felony county of entry of building other than a dwelling; one felony county of escape from custody; a misdemeanor count of petit larceny; and one count of destruction of property, a misdemeanor.

• John Matthew Emerich, 61, of Ellamore was indicted on one county of fleeing with reckless indifference to the safety of others; a felony count of a prohibited person in possession of a concealed firearm; and one misdemeanor count of a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.

• Jeffery Scott Davis, 39, of Oak Hill, is facing a felony county of receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle and one felony county of grand larceny.

• Shana Ellen Frazier, 34, of Clarksburg, was indicted on one count of driving while license revoked for DUI, third or subsequent offense, a felony.

• Timothy Andrew Freeman, 45, of Buckhannon, was indicted on 12 felony counts of fraudulent use of an access device.

• Jacob M. Arbogast II, 17, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one felony count of first degree robbery and one felony count of conspiracy.

• Mandy Ann Knotts, 21, of Grafton, was indicted on one county of delivery of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, a felony; one felony county of delivery of a controlled substance; and one felony count of conspiracy.

• William Thomas Wolfe, 39, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one felony count of delivery of a controlled substance and one felony count of conspiracy.

• Deanna Daye Gandee, 49, of Naples, Florida, was indicted on one felony count of threats of terroristic acts, and one misdemeanor county of tampering with a vehicle.

• Bobbie Renae Nixon, 31, of Buckhannon is facing one felony count of gross child neglect creating substantial risk of death or serious injury.

• Allen Jason Nuttle, 45, of Buckhannon, is facing one felony count of gross child neglect creating substantial risk of death or serious injury.

• Douglas Keith Bowser, 40, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one felony count of fleeing with reckless indifference to the safety of others; a felony count of fleeing in a vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance; a misdemeanor count of fleeing by means other than the use of a vehicle; a count of driving while license revoked for DUI, third or subsequent offense, a felony; and one misdemeanor count of obstructing an officer.

• Reno Tobias Tyson, 45, of Buckhannon, is facing a felony charge of forgery of a title or registration; a misdemeanor count of driving while license suspended, third or subsequent offense; and one misdemeanor count of of no insurance.

• Bryce Lynn Chapman, 35, of Buckhannon, was indicted on a count of driving while license revoked for DUI, third or subsequent offense, a felony.

• Kayla Michele Tenney, 26, of Buckhannon, was indicted on four felony counts of gross child neglect creating substantial risk of death or serious injury.

• Daniel Scott Grogg, 28, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one count of sexual abuse in the first degree, a felony.

In a separate indictment, Grogg was indicted on two felony counts of sexual abuse in the first degree.

In a separate indictment, Grogg is facing two felony county of sexual assault in the second degree; and two felony counts sexual abuse of a child by a parent, guardian, custodian or person of trust to a child.

In a fourth indictment, Grogg is facing three felony counts of sexual abuse in the first degree; and three counts of sexual abuse of a child by a parent, guardian, custodian or person of trust to a child.

In a fifth indictment, Grogg is facing seven felony counts of sexual assault in the second degree; five felony counts of sexual abuse in the first degree; and 10 felony counts of sexual abuse of a child by a parent, guardian, custodian or person of trust to a child.

• Ronald Russell Snyder, 48, of Buckhannon, was indicted one two felony counts of failure to register or provide notice of change in required sex offender registration information, a life registrant.

• Leonard Loyal Casto, 43, of Buckhannon, is facing one felony count of grand larceny; one felony count of receiving or transferring stolen goods; and one misdemeanor count of tampering with a vehicle.

• Dakota Chadwich Cabic, 28, of Buckhannon, was indicted on four felony counts of fraudulent use of an access device.

• Joshua Lynn Schulte, 26, of Buckhannon was indicted on three felony counts of entry of a building other than a dwelling; and one felony count of destruction of property.

• Caleb Shane Heavner, 21 of Buckhannon, was indicted on three counts of conspiracy.

• Maria Andrews, 59, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one felony county of child abuse creating substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury.

• James David Heater, 41, of Buckhannon, was indicted on one felony count of receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle; a misdemeanor count of no registration; and one misdemeanor count of no insurance.

• Joseph Arthur Wood, 49, of Buckhannon, is facing one felony count of driving while license revoked for DUI, third or subsequent offense, a felony.

• James R. Wamsley, 25, of Buckhannon, was indicted on two felony counts of failure to register or provide notice of change in required sex offender registration information, a life registrant.

• Betheny Lynn Mallett, 34, of French Creek, was indicted on one felony count of fraudulent scheme.
