ELKINS — A Randolph County Grand Jury returned indictments against 33 individuals Monday, for alleged crimes including strangulation, burglary and sexual assault.

Wilson Dale Armstrong, 41, an inmate at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail, was indicted on one count of domestic battery, third or subsequent offense, a felony; and one count of strangulation, a felony.

Robert Ray Cale, 42, of Masontown, was indicted on one count of shoplifting, third offense, a felony.

Thurmon Ronald Chewning, 44, of Elkins, was indicted on one count of burglary, a felony; one count of wanton endangerment involving a firearm, a felony; one count of use or presentation of a firearm during commission of a felony, a felony; one count of domestic assault, a misdemeanor; and one count of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor.

Robert Lee Conley, 30, an inmate at McDowell County Correctional Facility, Welch, was indicted on one count of transportation of controlled substances onto the grounds of a correctional facility, a felony; one count of attempted delivery of contraband to an inmate, a felony; and one count of conspiracy, a felony.

Brandy Marie Reseter, 41, an inmate at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail, was indicted on one count of transportation of controlled substances onto the grounds of a correctional facility, a felony; one count of attempted delivery of contraband to an inmate, a felony; and one count of conspiracy, a felony.

Gerald Andrew Toothman, Jr., an inmate of the Mount Olive Correctional Center, Mt. Olive, was indicted on one count of attempted possession of a controlled substance by inmate, a felony; one count of offense committed by inmate, a felony; and one count of conspiracy, a felony.

Gregory Lynn Coontz, 52, of Elkins, was indicted on one count of breaking and entering, a felony; one count of grand larceny, a felony; and one count of conspiracy, a felony.

Eric Shawn Currence, 40, an inmate at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail, was indicted on one count of stalking in violation of protective order, a felony; one count of harassment in violation of protective order, a felony; and two counts of violation of a protective order, third or subsequent offense, a misdemeanor.

Kevin Joe Elder, 48, an inmate of Huttonsville Correctional Center, was indicted on one count of escape by persons in custody of institutions or officers, a felony.

Kasey Brooke Feaster, 20, of Elkins, was indicted on one count of fraudulent schemes, a felony; and one count of conspiracy, a felony.

Walter Paul Robinson, 48, of Elkins, was indicted on one count of fraudulent schemes, a felony; and one count of conspiracy, a felony.

Randi Nicole Shaffer, 26, of Elkins, was indicted on one count of fraudulent schemes, a felony; and one count of conspiracy, a felony.

Steven Joseph Fravel, 49, an inmate at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail, was indicted on one count of driving while license revoked for DUI, third offense, a felony.

Kelvin Alexander Hawkins, 38, an inmate at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail, was indicted on two counts of possession by prohibited person of a firearm, a felony.

Donald Lynn Hedrick, 40, of Elkins, was indicted on three counts of soliciting a minor via computer, a felony.

Doily Albert Johnson, 37, an inmate at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail, was indicted on four counts of sexual assault in the third degree, a felony; and four counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian, or person in a position of trust to a child, a felony.

Brandon Allen Kline, 23, an inmate at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail, was indicted on one count of strangulation, a felony; one count of domestic battery, a misdemeanor; and one count of unlawful restraint, a misdemeanor.

Austin Blaine Lanham, 22, of Huttonsville, was indicted on one count of malicious assault, a felony; and one count of conspiracy, a felony.

Kaiden Lee Pinkerton, 19, of Mill Creek, was indicted on one count of malicious assault, a felony; and one count of conspiracy, a felony.

Briana Nate Mullenax, also known as Brianna Nate Mullenax, 30, of Parsons, was indicted on one count of shoplifting, third offense, a felony.

Steven Eugene Rogers, Jr., 29, an inmate of Huttonsville Correctional Center, was indicted on one count of attempted possession of a controlled substance by inmate, a felony; one count of offense committed by inmate, a felony; and one count of conspiracy, a felony.

Tina Elaine Riggs, 49, of Martinsburg, was indicted on one count of transportation of controlled substances onto the grounds of a correctional facility, a felony; one count of attempted delivery of contraband to an inmate, a felony; and one count of conspiracy, a felony.

Brandi Lea Smith, also known as Brandi Lea Rohr, 37, of Selbyville, was indicted on one count of fraudulent schemes, a felony; and one count of obtaining property in return for worthless check, a felony.

Ryan Cecil Snyder, 26, of Elkins, was indicted on three counts of delivery of a controlled substance, a felony; and one count of conspiracy, a felony.

Eva Fay Springfield, 63, of Mill Creek, was indicted on two counts of transportation of controlled substances onto the grounds of a correctional facility, a felony; two counts of delivery of contraband to an inmate, a felony; and two counts of conspiracy, a felony.

Michael Allen Hoosier, 30, an inmate of Huttonsville Correctional Center, was indicted on two counts of possession of a controlled substance by inmate, a felony; two counts of offense committed by inmate, a felony; and one count of conspiracy, a felony.

Jeremy Lee Summerfield, 30, an inmate at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail, was indicted on one count of possession of a stolen vehicle, a felony.

In a separate incident, Summerfield was also indicted on one count of burglary, a felony; and one count of grand larceny, a felony.

Mackala Ann Teter, 28, an inmate at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail, was indicted on one count of possession by prohibited person of a firearm, a felony.

Jessie Lynn Ware, 39, of Mabie, was indicted on one count of fleeing in a vehicle with reckless indifference, a felony; and two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony.

William Riley Welch, 53, an inmate at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail, Belington, was indicted on one count of sexual assault in the first degree, a felony, one count of incest, a felony, and one count of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, or custodian, a felony.

Travis Gene Woods, 45, an inmate of the Tygart Valley Regional Jail, was indicted on one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony; and one count of possession by prohibited person of a firearm, a misdemeanor.

Garrett Everett Zirkle, 20, an inmate at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail, was indicted on one count of soliciting a minor via computer and traveling to engage the minor in prohibited sexual activity, a felony; and one count of attempted sexual assault in the third degree, a felony.

Presented by Special Prosecuting Attorney Brian S. Hinkle, Brandon Lee Simmons, 37, of Elkins, was indicted on four counts of incest, a felony; and four counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian or custodian, a felony.

Bond return for the indictments will be on March 6 at 1:30 p.m., at which time bond will be set and trial dates will be determined.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
