Leadership Randolph’s Class of 2023 celebrates graduation

ELKINS -- Leadership Randolph, a program of the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber, held it's first Graduation Dinner & Celebration for the inaugural class on June 13 at The Atrium in Seneca Mall.
Leadership Randolph is a program that seeks to "develop and prepare leaders to move Randolph County forward."
The Leadership Randolph Class of 2023 had 10 sessions, including orientation, that started in August 2022.
The curriculum for the sessions was created and implemented by Leadership Randolph Ambassadors (Randolph County residents who have graduated from the Leadership West Virginia program) and volunteers from the Chamber. Sessions focused on Tourism, Economic Development, Housing, Heathcare, Education, Hardwood Manufacturing, Government, Non-Profits & Volunteerism, and Workforce.
The class of 2023 graduates were Heidi Bray (Mountain State Forest Festival), Erin Brown (Agency LMC), Adriana Channel (Davis Trust Company), Angela Daniels (Tygart Valley United Way), Jordan Godwin (Valley Health Care), Jeremiah Jasper (Woodford United Methodist Church), Jace Kyle (Luttner Financial Group), Colin McFadden (Pegasus Real Estate), Matt Osborne (Citizens Bank of WV), Samantha Peet (Elkins Randolph County Tourism), Tammie Rizzio (Youth Health Services), and Brandy Wildman (Davis Medical Center).
When asked what class members would take from the experience back to their organizations, the class responded with answers such as, "I feel I know so much more about Randolph County and how interconnected we are. I had no idea there were so many resources for all the focus areas; I am now able to share those resources with others. I'm a life-long resident of Randolph County, and I've learned things I never knew I never knew."
The Graduation Dinner & Celebration featured guest speaker Kate Reed of Beverly. Reed is the Communications & Development Manager for Leadership West Virginia and co-founder/owner of Wonder & Grow.
Class member Adriana Channell spoke on behalf of the Class of 2023. Additional presenters included Mike Bell, Chamber Board Chair, Karen Jacobson, Leadership Randolph Ambassadors chairperson, and Lisa Wood, Chamber Executive Director.
The Chamber is appreciative to all the community members who volunteered their time to present to the class in one or more of the sessions, as well as to the sponsors of the 2023 Leadership Randolph program. Those sponsors were: Citizens Bank of WV, the City of Elkins, Common Door, Davis & Elkins College, Davis Medical Center, Davis Trust Company, Mountaineer Insurance Services, Randolph County Development Authority, Randolph County Housing Authority, Vandevander and Nypl, CPAs, Woodlands Development & Lending, and the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce.
The Leadership Randolph Class of 2024 will be announced by June 30.
The mission of the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce is to advocate, educate, and network to enhance business opportunities in Elkins and Randolph County.
