ELKINS -- The Elkins Randolph County Chamber has announced the selection of its second Leadership Randolph class.
Leadership Randolph is a program of the Chamber that seeks to develop and prepare leaders to move Randolph County forward.
The first Graduation Dinner & Celebration for the inaugural Leadership Randolph class was held June 13 at The Atrium in Seneca Mall.
The members of the Class of 2024 will begin with an Orientation & Reception on Sept. 7. The once-a-month sessions will begin later that month and conclude with a Graduation Dinner & Celebration in May of 2024.
Topics for the nine monthly sessions are expected to be Tourism, Economic Development, Housing, Healthcare, Education & Youth, Hardwood Manufacturing, Government, Nonprofits & Volunteerism, and Workforce. Leadership Randolph also hopes to share a session and/or reception with cohorts at Leadership Lewis and Leadership Upshur.
Lisa Wood, Executive Director of the Chamber, stated, "The Chamber is incredibly proud of its the Leadership Randolph Program. The inaugural year was a resounding success, and we are grateful to be able to continue this important educational opportunity to our community's developing leaders.

The Leadership Randolph Class of 2024 includes:

Margo Evick, Randolph Tucker Children's Advocacy Center;
Hannah Fincham, WVU Extension;
Kate Garlick, Davis & Elkins College;
Graham Godwin, Randolph County Housing Authority;
Jenna Jeffries, Elkins Mountain School;
Phillips Kolsun, Leidos, Inc.;
Whitney Morris, Woodford Oil Company;
Bill Phillips, Citizens Bank of WV;
Matt Scott, Davis Health System;
Karrah Washington, Nikki Rogers State Farm; and
Devon Waters, Davis Trust Company.
The Leadership Randolph program is managed by graduates of Leadership West Virginia residing in Randolph County, and the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber. These "ambassadors" work to create the program's curriculum. They also oversee the class selection process. There were many worthy applicants, officials said.
