MONTROSE -- A Montrose man was arrested Sunday evening and charged with wanton endangerment involving a firearm.

Donald Ray Sharp, 47, is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on a $30,000 cash only bond set by Magistrate Ben Shepler.

Officers responded to Parsons Road at about 8 p.m. Sunday in regard to a reported domestic altercation involving a firearm, according to the criminal complaint, prepared by Corp. A.B. Beverly of the Randolph County Sheriff's Office.

The complaint states a juvenile called 911 and said adults were arguing in the home, and then she heard a gunshot and she was hiding in a bedroom.

Officers arrived on the scene and Sharp was given a blood alcohol test, which indicated his blood alcohol content was .160, according to the complaint.

Sharp allegedly told police he fired a .38 revolver while standing close to a woman in the house. Deputies found the revolver inside a flour container in the kitchen. Deputies also located an apparent bullet hole in the ceiling, the complaint states.
