‘Clays for a Cause’ benefit set

ELKINS -- A special tournament will be held next week to benefit the Davis Health System Foundation.
The "Clays for a Cause" Sporting Clay Tournament to benefit DHSF will be Friday, Oct. 20 at Stonewall Sporting Clays in Roanoke, W.V.
The shoot registration will begin at 9 a.m., and the shoot will be at 10 a.m. This will be a family friendly event, and children 12 and up are welcome.
The competition is open to individuals and to teams of four.
Participants can bring their own 12-gauge or 20-gauge, or can rent a gun.
Awards and a luncheon will follow the tournament. Kristie Vandevander, a CPA, will provide a Coffee & Cocoa Bar in the morning during registration.
The event is presented by Vandalia Health and Freedom Bank. Community partners include Vandevander, Northern Eagle, Inc., and Elkins Motorsports.
Funds from this event will go to Caring for Kids, the Foundation's campaign to improve pediatric care at all DHS locations.
The DHS Foundation provides annual support of programs and services at Davis Medical Center (Elkins), Broaddus Hospital & Mansfield Place (Philippi), and Webster Memorial Hospital (Webster Springs).

This state-of-the-art emergency department features private exam and treatment rooms, specialized trauma bays, and innovative technology.
