MILL CREEK -- A Mill Creek man is behind bars after police received multiple calls about his erratic behavior.
Shane Eric Currence, 42, is charged with burglary, a felony. He is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on a $10,000 cash-only bond.
According to the criminal complaint, prepared by Corporal S.D. Kyle, of the Randolph County Sheriff's Department, officers were dispatched to Conrad Street in Mill Creek on Dec. 16 to investigate a call about "a suspicious person sitting on the caller's back porch."
When officers arrived on the scene they observed Currence "walking along the road," the complaint states. Currence appeared to "have some mental health problems based off of his behavior, and what he was saying."
The caller told officers that Currence "had illegally entered (the) dwelling," and that Currence "was going through his belongings in (the caller's) dwelling," according to the complaint. The caller said Currence "forcefully pounded on his door and window to his dwelling."
"Officers had multiple calls the same day at other locations in the area with the defendant doing similar actions," the complaint states.
