NORTON -- One person was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown on Sunday after being struck by a train in the Norton area of Randolph County, police said.
Although Randolph County Sheriff Rob Elbon and his department are not investigating the incident, the sheriff was able to confirm to The Inter-Mountain Monday that the incident took place and that a person was hospitalized.
Elbon said the incident is being investigated by railroad officials.
No further information was available at press time.
