ELKINS – The Elkins Long John Silver’s restaurant – which has been closed for remodeling since August – will reopen to the public on Monday.
“We are officially opening back up on Monday,” Long John Silver’s official Jessica Radcliffe told The Inter-Mountain. “We have been training people and we are ready to open the restaurant back up.”
Radcliffe said the Elkins Long John Silver’s has hired more employees than it previously had. She noted that she expects the restaurant to be busy next week.
“We have a ton of employees now and we are expecting a really good reopening,” said Radcliffe. “The building is so much different than the older one was and I can’t wait for people to come in and see it.”
The Elkins establishment officially closed on Aug. 20. Since the original structure, which first opened in 1976, has been demolished, and crews have worked on the construction of a brand new facility that is near completion.
Ratcliffe said the menu will remain the same, noting that it is already listed online for customers.
“The menu is online and we also have paper menus inside as well,” she said. “A lot of people have been anxious for us to open back up and we are really excited to get things going.”
The new restaurant will feature both dine-in and drive-thru service, and will be open from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays. The restaurant’s hours on Fridays and Saturdays will be from 11 a.m. until 10:30 p.m.
The first Long John Silver’s opened in 1969. The chain currently has 568 restaurants in the United States, and has restaurants in 30 countries outside of the U.S. For more information, go to ljsilvers.com.
