Upshur man facing drug charges

BUCKHANNON — An Upshur County man was arrested after officers allegedly found drugs during a traffic stop.
Terry Beeson, 62, has been charged with felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, marijuana. He is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on a $50,000 bond.
According to the criminal complaint, Upshur County Sheriff’s Department deputies saw a white Ford Escape with an expired registration near the Zickefoose Trailer Court. Officers performed a traffic stop at a Speedway convenience store. Officers identified Beeson and the driver, who both seemed to be shaking and stammering, as “habitual users of controlled substances.”
K9 officer Rico performed a free-air sniff of the vehicle, and a search of the vehicle was conducted, the complaint states. Officers reportedly found a needle containing methamphetamine, a glass pipe with white residue, a small digital scale, a small bag of marijuana, burnt foil, a container of “dabs,” plastic bags, 1.2 ounces of methamphetamine and $161 in cash.
