ELKINS – One lane of Third Street in downtown Elkins will be closed beginning March 18, according to a City of Elkins press statement released Thursday afternoon.
Contractors will block off one side of the street as they repair the fire escape on the Wilt Building. Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic, but residents are advised to take alternate routes as needed.
The closure is expected to last for two weeks, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The lane will be closed from Davis Avenue to what is known as Trickett Lane.
