BUCKHANNON _ The Upshur County Commission has contracted with Reclaim Company, LLC for the demolition of the three-story structure located at 18 S Locust Street, Buckhannon on Monday, April 8 beginning approximately 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
For public safety, it will be necessary to close the Northbound lane of S Locust Street during demolition. Flaggers will be in place to alternate traffic flow.
Chancery Street will be closed in the area of the demolition. Franklin St will be closed at S Locust. Alternate route North is S Kanawha Street to Main Street. Weather or other unforeseen conditions may cause the date or times to change.
VIPS and CERT volunteers will be assisting with traffic during the closure.
NIXLE alerts will go out Friday and Monday morning to alert the community.
