Load of Oak Lumber Overturns
The Inter-Mountain photo by Joe Blankenship A load of oak lumber headed to the AWF plant in Beverly ended up strewn across the road Wednesday afternoon. Police said the hitch on the back of a truck broke and came loose from the trailer hauling the wood, causing the trailer to overturn at about 4:30 p.m. Traffic was backed up while the road was cleared, but no injuries were reported. The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, the Beverly Volunteer Fire Department and Randolph County EMS all responded to the scene of the accident.
