ELKINS -- Three West Virginia residents admitted to methamphetamine trafficking in the Northern District of West Virginia.
In separate cases, Richard Emery Delphey, 52, of Elkins; Michele Charisse Stewart, 47, of Hillsboro; and Lacrisha Leslie Lamb, 43, of Belington, each pled guilty to the distribution of methamphetamine. According to the court documents, Delphey, Stewart, and Lamb were each selling methamphetamine in Barbour, Randolph and Pocahontas counties.
Delphey, Stewart and Lamb each face up to 20 years in federal prison. A federal district court judge will determine any sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen Warner is prosecuting the cases on behalf of the government.
The cases were investigated by the Mountain Region Drug Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, and the West Virginia State Police.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael John Aloi presided.
