ELKINS — The Rotary Club of Elkins welcomes Randolph County Schools Superintendent Dr. Shawn Dilly as a new member.

Born and raised in Tucker County, Dilly has lived nearly 30 years in Randolph County. Dilly holds degrees from Walden University, West Virgnia University, Salem International University and Fairmont State University. He has served a variety of West Virginia school systems for over 21 years. Most recently, however, he spent the past three years in Abu Dhabi serving as Director General (Superintendent) of Emirates National Schools an International Baccalaureate American Curriculum school serving just under 14,000 students PK-12 before being named Randolph County Superintendent of Schools in July of this year. In addition to Rotary, Dilly is a member of the West Virginia Association of School Administrators.

“As a new member of our local Rotary Club, I am thrilled to once again be part of an organization committed to making a positive impact in the community. Having previously been a member of another Rotary Club, I understand firsthand the value of Rotary’s dedication to service and fellowship. I look forward to contributing to our local initiatives and working alongside each of you to continue building a stronger, more connected community,” said Dilly.

Dilly and his wife, Cyndee, are the parents of Sommer, Dylan, and Levi who are all graduates of Elkins High School. In their spare time, the Dilly family enjoys exercise, spending time together, having a good meal and traveling.
