ECA to host annual Christmas Craft Show

ELKINS — The Elkins Christian Academy will host its annual Christmas Craft Show and Bazaar this coming weekend in the school’s gymnasium located in Glenmore Acres.

Proceeds from the event, which will take place on Friday and Saturday, will benefit upcoming events and activities at the school.

On Friday, the bazaar and show will run from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The schedule for Saturday is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Elkins Christian Academy students have been hard at work collecting donated items and making special “Theme Baskets” for the event’s silent auction. The baskets will feature such items as books, Yeti coolers, Polar Express, a cozy day in, family night, grilling, a Star is Born, and much more.

Vendors will also have an array of baskets and items on display that will be available to bid on, as well. The local community contributes many items to the school bazaar each year. The public does not have to be present to win items they bid on during the Silent Auction.

The Christmas Craft Show and Bazaar will feature tables filled with many holiday gifts ideas. Area crafters, bakers, artists, authors and designers will be on hand selling their unique merchandise. Some of the tables will also feature Filipino cuisine, homemade candles, homemade soap, and homemade wood made items. A temporary tattoo table for the kids will also be set up at the event.

Students will also offer a bake sale both days of the event that will feature hot dogs and homemade chili. In the past, many patrons have come out just for lunch, as the hot dogs are popular within the community.

The Elkins Christian Academy is a private school for students Pre-K through the 12th grade. The school was established in 1990 and places a high priority on students’ academics. ECA is  National Association of Private Schools accredited.
