State calendar includes work of a Tucker County photographer

HAMBLETON — The work of a Tucker County photographer has been chosen to be featured in an officials State of West Virginia calendar.
Kathryn Davis of Hambleton is one of 12 photographers to be included in the 2025 Roadsides in Bloom calendar. Her photograph of a white rhododendron on the Holly Meadows Road in Tucker County was selected for the month of April.
The free calendar, sponsored by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection’s (WVDEP) Adopt A Highway program, includes pictures of West Virginia wildflowers growing naturally along state roadways.
The pictures were chosen from dozens of entries submitted by photographers from West Virginia and surrounding states.

Calendars can be ordered by calling 1-800-322-5530 or emailing dep.aah@wv.gov. Requests are limited to one calendar per household, and West Virginia residents receive priority consideration.
Co-sponsored by the WVDEP and the state Division of Highways (DOH), the Adopt-A-Highway program is administered by the WVDEP’s Rehabilitation Environmental Action Plan (REAP), and improves the quality of the state’s environment by encouraging public involvement in the elimination of highway litter.
