BUCKHANNON -- A Buckhannon man with multiple outstanding felony warrants was apprehended by a "multi-agency response" in Upshur County Sunday.
Jesse Todd Miller, 34, of Buckhannon, had outstanding felony warrants for strangulation, driving while license revoked for DUI-third offense, domestic battery-third offense, and grand larceny.
He is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on a $100,000 cash-only bond, set by Upshur County Magistrate Alan Suder.
Miller was "apprehended by a multi-agency response headed by the Upshur County Sheriff's Office and assisted by the WV State Police and Buckhannon City Police" on Sunday, according to a press release from Upshur County Sheriff Mike Coffman.
A search warrant was executed in Buckhannon Sunday "where Miller attempted to elude arrest," the release states.
"A stolen vehicle, suspected to have been stolen and operated by Miller in the Kanawha Street area of Buckhannon on Feb. 1, was also recovered on King School Road," the release states.
"Miller will face additional charges," the release adds.
According to criminal complaint documents from the Upshur County Magistrate Court, Miller was charged with grand larceny regarding a November 2024 incident in which approximately 77 pieces of silver and silverware, worth approximately $6,408, were stolen from a Buckhannon residence.
Miller allegedly "sold the silverware to Gold Rush Co. in Bridgeport, and received $1,091," the complaint states.
The driving while license revoked for DUI-third offense charge against Miller dates to a December 2024 incident in which Miller was allegedly found passed out in the driver's seat of a vehicle with the engine running, at the Vicksburg Food Mart in Buckhannon, according to a criminal complaint.
The strangulation charge stems from a January incident in which Miller allegedly "attacked (a woman), held her down and strangled her," according to a criminal complaint.
