3 on ballot for Beverly mayor

BEVERLY -- The 2025 Beverly Municipal Election in May will include three candidates on the ballot for mayor and six town council candidates competing for five seats.

On May 5, the position of mayor, town recorder and all five town council seats will be up for election.

In Beverly, all town officials serve for two years.

Beverly Mayor John Andy Burns is running for reelection this year with challengers Valerie J. Morral and David Todd Harper also vying for the position.

Beverly's current town recorder, Shelia Scott Strahin, is running for reelection unopposed.

Incumbent town council members Matthew Lewis, Robert Lee Moyer, Jr. and Anna Catherine Whittaker will be running for reelection. Challengers Deborah Sue Stalnaker, Patrick James Weese and Gary Strahin join the three incumbent candidates on the ballot to contest for the town's five council seats.

Current town council members Connie Pingley and Kenny Pritt are not seeking reelection this year.

Beverly's polling place for the May 5 Municipal Election is at Beverly Town Hall on 5 Walnut Avenue.
