Nine arrested by deputies in ‘warrant round-up’
BUCKHANNON — The Upshur County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday that nine people were apprehended Friday during a “warrant round-up” performed by deputies.
The nine individuals all had active warrants for their arrest, a Monday Sheriff’s Office press release states. The individuals were transported to Tygart Valley Regional Jail to await arraignment.
Those apprehended included:
William R. Phillips, 53, of Buckhannon, for felony failure to appear;
Olivia G. Hite, 21, of Buckhannon, for felony destruction of property, conspiracy to commit a felony, reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident;
Tristan J. Champ, 24, of Buckhannon, for felony destruction of property, and conspiracy to commit a felony;
Jason H. Wilmoth, 39, of Buckhannon, for disruption of school process, and assault;
Ethan I. Hull, 18, of French Creek, for false information to an officer;
Charles R. Wingfield, 68, of Buckhannon, for possession with intent to deliver marijuana;
Lawrence E. Robinson, 63, of Buckhannon, for possession of marijuana;
Timothy S. King, 58, of Buckhannon, for possession of methamphetamine; and
Buddy A. Young, 49, of Elkins, for five counts of prohibited possession of firearms.
