Remains of missing Barbour County man found near Junior

BARBOUR COUNTY -- Officials say the body of a Barbour County man who had been missing since January was found outdoors near Junior.

The remains of Donald Hutzler, 63, were identified after being found on Tuesday, according to a West Virginia State Police press release on Wednesday afternoon.

Employees with Mon Power located the human remains while working on utility lines near Junior, the release states.

Hutzler was last seen at his residence in Belington on Jan. 5, and his disappearance had been under investigation by the West Virginia State Police since Jan. 15, according to the release.

Hutzler was known to suffer from cognitive disabilities and frequently rode a bicycle in the Belington and Junior areas, the release states.

Police say no foul play is suspected in Hutzler's death, but noted the incident remains under investigation.
