BUCKHANNON -- The Colonial Arts Center's Local Music Night (LMN) monthly concert series continues with the first show of their summer session tonight.

Reverend Rattlesnake will be performing with Matt Hatfield from 7-9 p.m. tonight at the Colonial Arts Center on 48 E. Main Street. All LMN shows are for all ages and free to the public. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

This will be the first of four LMN shows spotlighting local music talent over the summer. The LMN monthly concert series began in March of this year.

"(Local Music Night)… will spotlight songwriters, bands, and musicians from the Buckhannon area," event organizer Bryce O'Loughlin said in a social media post announcing the start of LMN. "The event is designed to provide a platform for both established and amateur artists to perform original music, creating an opportunity for community members to discover new sounds and support their local music scene."

According to a post from Local Music Night's social media, the series was renewed through August with the help of new sponsorships from Klie Law Offices and Strategy IT, both businesses in Buckhannon.

Reverend Rattlesnake, according to their social media, is "a southern rock band from North/Central West Virginia." Matt Hatfield is a singer and songwriter from Philippi.

Also performing in LMN's summer series of shows is:

Beyond the Barrier on June 14;

Comma, Splice on July 26;

Ricky Mortis and the Stiffs on Aug. 30.
