Local fire departments and police officers were called to a fire within the Hamer Pellet Fuel Company plant in the Elkins Industrial Park late Wednesday afternoon. The Elkins Fire Department and Beverly Volunteer Fire Department were among the first responders battling the blaze. The Elkins Police Department, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, West Virginia State Police, and Randolph County Emergency Squad all also responded to the scene.
