ELKINS — Our Town’s run of hosting tribute bands at the Rotary Amphitheater for its Summer Concert Series gets underway on Friday night, when Hair Supply takes the stage as part of its Faded, Jaded and Overrated Tour.

The Southern West Virginia-based 1980s rock tribute band will take to the stage at 7:30 p.m. Hair Supply will recreate hits from artists like Poison, Warrant, Bryan Adams, Foreigner, Billy Squire, Journey, Loverboy and more.

“We are very excited to have Hair Supply as one of our bands coming to town this summer,” Our Town volunteer Pricilla Gay told The Inter-Mountain. “From everyone I’ve talked to who’s seen Hair Supply perform, they all say that we are in for a very fun concert. We are really looking forward to their performance, it should be a great time.”

Hair Supply prides itself on showmanship and attention to detail. The band has become a regular attraction at fairs, festivals, clubs, class reunions and corporate functions across West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky.

They have shared the stage with such acts as Rick Springfield, Martina McBride, Fastball, Everclear, Shenandoah and others.

The band members include Jazz McVanderhalen, Pipes Vidovich, Seymour Tayle, Weedles Von Frankenberry, Philthy Trenches, and Jett McVain.

Hair Supply’s concert will begin a stretch run of three consecutive tribute acts to perform as part of the Summer Concert Series at the Rotary Amphitheater.

Fleetwood Macked, the “ultimate tribute to Fleetwood Mac,” will perform on July 4, while Completely Unchained, the “world’s best Van Halen tribute band,” will take to the stage on July 11.

Carpool, a Cars tribute band, will be the final tribute band to play this summer, wrapping up the series on Aug. 22.

“We wanted to change things up a little bit this summer,” Gay said. “We feel that the tribute bands we have signed all offer something for everyone. We wanted to get some bands that would appeal to a larger group of citizens in the area.”

The other concerts scheduled as part of the Summer Concert Series include: July 5, 249th Army Band; July 25, Ryan and Rory; Aug. 8, The Rockefather & Friends with special guests Seven Year Witch.

All of the concerts are free and scheduled for 7:30 p.m., except on July 5 when the Army Band will play at 5 p.m.

Starting at $3.92/week.
