BUCKHANNON -- A man is behind bars after methamphetamine, LSD, Trazadone and a multitude of other assorted drugs were allegedly found in his residence, police said.
Jeffrey Clinton Rice Jr., 49, was arrested by Upshur County Sheriff's Office deputies after they executed a warrant on Lincoln Street in Buckhannon.
Rice is charged with "possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and marijuana," according to a Sheriff's Office statement. He is currently being held at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on two separate $75,000 cash-only bonds.
According to the statement, on June 19, during the execution of the search warrant, deputies discovered Rice inside the residence "with various drugs and drug paraphernalia."
Deputies seized one orange pill bottle with three bags of "a white crystal-like substance" that Rice allegedly identified as methamphetamine, the statement reads. The three bags, which field tested positive for methamphetamine, weighed approximately 2.7 ounces.
Deputies also reportedly seized:
A bag with multiple pieces of "a white crystal-like substance" that was also identified as methamphetamine;
A bag labeled as Trazadone 50mg with approximately 24 white round pills;
A bag with one green round pill and half of an orange pill;
Multiple used blue stamp bags;
Multiple bags with a "green leafy substance";
A bag with one piece of paper that "is consistent with LSD."
U.S. currency, a scale and multiple smoking devices were also seized, the statement reads.
