Mill Creek man charged with burglary

Biggs
HUTTONSVILLE – A Randolph County man is behind bars after allegedly breaking into several homes on Sunday.
Chad Edward Biggs, 42, of Mill Creek, is charged with burglary, a felon. He is currently incarcerated in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on a $25,000 surety cash bond.
According to the criminal complaint, on Sunday at approximately 1:18 a.m., police responded to a call regarding a non-active burglary on McBee Drive in Huttonsville. The caller stated that Biggs had broken into his home and that he had chased Biggs out of his house with a shotgun.
An hour later, police received another report stating that several people saw Biggs walking around and trying to get in the doors of homes in the area of Riffle Creek Road, according to the complaint.
Once on scene, police were told that Biggs was in the backyard of another home on McBee Drive and that he had just broken into another residence. Three neighbors who live in the area approached Biggs and told him he was not allowed there and Biggs proceeded to walk off into the woods, the complaint states.
One of the residents called Biggs on his phone and told him not to come back to the area and to stop breaking into homes, according to the complaint. Biggs told the caller that he only did the break-ins because “the CIA told him to as part of his training.”
Police observed damage to one of the homes Biggs allegedly broke into and proceeded to a trailer Biggs was known to reside at, the complaint states. Biggs came out of the trailer voluntarily and informed police that a certain individual had been making him do the break-ins and that it was “part of his CIA training” to break in and find a particular female.
Biggs was arrested and transported to the Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
