New Leadership Randolph class is announced

ELKINS — The Elkins-Randolph County Chamber has announced the selection of its fourth — and largest — Leadership Randolph class.

“As Leadership Randolph prepares for our fourth class, we are so excited to announce our Class of 2026,” said Lisa Wood, director of Educational Programming at the Chamber. “We had our largest number of applications submitted, and we are thrilled to have accepted 23 individuals to participate in this year’s class.”

Leadership Randolph is a Chamber program that “seeks to develop and prepare leaders to move Randolph County forward,” a Chamber press release states.

The Leadership Randolph Class of 2026 includes: Blaine Bishop, Peak Media; Sarah Craig, Dreaming Tree Healing Arts; Samantha Cusimano, Elkins Motor Sports; Jackie Cutlip, Citizens Bank of WV; Ben Duvall-Irwin, Elkins-Randolph County Tourism CVB; Tim Edin, First United Methodist Church; Caleb Fabbri, Kristie Vandevander CPAs; Sara Gladwell, Kump Education Center; Leslie Hyre, Vandalia Health Davis Medical Center; Amanda Jones, Valley Health Care; Kevin Jones, Summit Church; Brianna Kelly, AgencyLMC; Raymond LaMora, Legal Aid WV; Amrit Rayfield, Davis & Elkins College; Larissa Righman, Freedom Bank; Catherine Ritchie, YMCA; Matthew Samples, Carte Hall & Associates, A.C.; Simeon Sheppard, Davis Trust Co.; Katelyn Torrence, Randolph County Public Schools; Christena Vance, HomeOwnership Center; Stephanie Warner, WVU Nutrition; Emily Watson, Clementine’s Closet/Clementine’s Cantina; and Stacy Wilson, Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate.

Members of the Class of 2026 will begin with an Orientation & Reception on Sept. 4. The once-a-month sessions will begin later in September and conclude with a Graduation Dinner & Celebration next May.

A new addition to the program will be an hour-long leadership education component that kicks off each session. Professors from Davis & Elkins College will be invited to share in the instruction of this component of Leadership Randolph.

Topics for the nine monthly sessions are Tourism, Economic Development, Housing, Healthcare, Education, Hardwood Manufacturing, Government, Nonprofits & Volunteerism, and Agriculture.

“We are indebted to our sponsors, facilitators, presenters, and instructors for helping make Leadership Randolph a premier educational program for members of the Elkins-Randolph County community,” Wood said.

The Leadership Randolph program is managed by graduates of Leadership West Virginia residing in Randolph County, program facilitators, and the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber. These “ambassadors” work to create the program’s curriculum, the release stated. They also oversee the class selection process.
