2025 Randolph County Fair to kick off Sunday

BEVERLY — The Randolph County Fair returns for its 21st year Sunday with pageants, exhibits, competitions, live music, a rodeo, a livestock sale and more.

Held at 4-H Camp Pioneer in Beverly, the Randolph County Fair will start off Sunday with a 10 a.m. church service. At 6 p.m., the Randolph County Fair Queen and Teen Pageant will begin with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.

On Monday, the Randolph County Fair Children’s Pageant for children 4 and under will begin at 5:30 p.m., with doors opening at 5 p.m.  The Children’s Pageant for children ages 5 to 12 will be on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., with doors opening at 5 p.m.

Tuesday will also see the start of the annual Competitive Exhibits for baked goods, canned goods, produce, arts and crafts, photography, needlework and sewing and horticulture exhibits.

Check-in for exhibits will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Agricultural Building at 4-H Camp Pioneer. Entry divisions are available for adults, youth and groups. For full entry guidelines and rules, visit the contests and exhibits page at randolphcountyfair.com

“Competitive exhibits are one of the most beloved traditions of the fair,” WVU Extension Agent Hannah Fincham said in a release. “They give individuals the chance to show off their skills and contribute to the community pride for which the Randolph County Fair is known.”

Exhibits will be judged and displayed for the public to enjoy throughout the fair. Exhibitors can compete for cash prizes that will be announced at 1 p.m. in the livestock barn on Saturday, Aug. 16.

The Randolph County Fair carnival will be open from 5-9 p.m. each evening from Wednesday to Thursday. On Friday, the carnival will run from 5-11 p.m., and on Saturday the carnival will be open from 8 a.m. until 9:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, the 4-H/FFA Tractor Mower Contest and Skill-a-thon will start at 5 p.m. 

Also on Wednesday, the Fair’s Family Fun Night, which will include Kid’s Ag. Ed., Touch-A-Truck, an Ice Cream Social and an 80s/90s themed dance party, will kick off at 6 p.m.

The Pet Show will begin at 6:30 p.m. and Karaoke and a Dance Party will go from 7-9 p.m.

“Flashback to the 50s” Senior Day will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, running until 4 p.m. 

The 4-H/FFA Showmanship Contest will begin at 5 p.m. on Thursday, while the 4-H/FFA Overall Showmanship will take place at 7 p.m. Feature animals will include poultry, rabbits, goats, lambs, beef and swine. Honey will also be shown.

The ATV/Motorcycle Drag Races will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday with registration opening at 5:30 p.m.

On Friday, the 4-H/FFA Livestock Quiz Bowl will start at 1 p.m. and the 4-H/FFA Market Animal Show will begin at 5 p.m. Featured animals will include rabbits, goats, lambs, beef and swine.

Michael Bonnett will be performing live starting at 5:30 p.m. Friday.

The Kid’s Mutton Bustin’ will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday with the Fair Rodeo starting at 8 p.m. There will be a Taylor Swift Costume Contest during the Rodeo’s intermission.

The Color Run/Walk will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16 with registration opening at 8 a.m. The Homemade Craft Show and the petting zoo will both be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., while the heritage demonstrations will go from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Buyer’s Luncheon and the Produce & Culinary Awards will take place at noon on Saturday, followed by the 4-H/FFA Livestock Sale at 1:15 p.m. Items up for sale will include market animals, honey and eggs. Animals will be sold by the head.

Also on Friday, local singer Brennon Weese will perform live from 1:30 to 3 p.m. At 4 p.m. Feelin’ Alright will perform until 5:30 p.m.

Cow Patty Bingo will begin at 2 p.m., and the Greased Pig Contest will take place at 3:30 p.m.

The Kid’s Pedal Tractor event for children 6 and under will start at 5 p.m., with the Truck and Tractor Pull following at 6 p.m. Registration for the Truck and Tractor Pull will take place from 2-6 p.m. on Friday. The night will end with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

On the last day of the Fair, Sunday, Aug. 17, the Horse Show will take place at 10 a.m. Registration will open at 9 a.m. when the gates open.
