One injured in Tucker County motorcycle/ambulance accident
HAMBLETON — Emergency crews in Tucker County were dispatched to Backbone Mountain early Sunday morning for a two-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and ambulance, officials said.
Crews were dispatched to the location of the accident, which occurred in proximity to Tucker County High School, at approximately 12:20 a.m. Sunday, according to a county official. One person involved in the crash was flown by HealthNet to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
The Parsons Detachment of the West Virginia State Police and Tucker County Emergency Squad were first on the scene, where the Thomas Volunteer Fire Department and Parsons Volunteer Fire Department were called to assist and set up a landing zone for the helicopter at Tucker County High School.
