BUCKHANNON – Route 33 in the vicinity of the Fred W. Eberle Technical Center has been shut down completely after a log truck hauling a skidder pulled down multiple power lines and poles, according to police scanner traffic.

The section of the interstate was closed at approximately 1:10 p.m. and there are other side streets in Buckhannon that have been closed as well due to the incident, scanner traffic indicates. Emergency crews and power company personnel are at the scene attempting to resolve the issue.

The log truck was headed toward Elkins when it was eventually stopped by law enforcement, according to scanner traffic.
