Car Goes Into Tygart Valley River
The Inter-Mountain photos by Anthony Gaynor First responders were called to a single-vehicle accident Monday afternoon along Wilson Street in Elkins after a driver lost control of her vehicle and went over the bank into the Tygart Valley River. Emergency officials said the driver was experiencing chest pains before she lost control of the Subaru.

Elkins Fire Department firefighters use ropes and pulleys to assist in getting the driver up the river bank. A small dog was also rescued from the vehicle. The driver was transported for care by the Randolph County Emergency Squad.
